Sep 2009 It occurs to me that
a lot of people who are already or about to receive a pension (hopefully including myself) have lot to be grateful for the
efforts of those who supported the famous 'strike' on Park Lane, back in the day. Had that event not happened, I doubt
we'd anticipating drawing a pension from our time with the company. So thanks everyone who waved a banner, stood up to
unfair practise and realised their worth. Also, thank you to Victor for making it the best job in town by far. You really
did. No thanks should go the Transport and General Workers Union who merely used the event as media stunt. It was our colleagues
who stood by each other and hoped for the best, and we got it. The fact that we all now stay in touch is testament to how
we all feel. So thanks guys. Thanks Victor. We are legend. I've written a dramatised film script of the 'strike'
event called Bunny. It's funny, sexy and unlikely to be believed, but if fairly accurate. Any film makers out there interested?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi there, With regard to the Playboy pensions/Rothesay etc.
When I left Nassau after everything folded at Playboy Bahamas, along with being told there was no further position for me
I was told that my pension etc was null and void, so never pursued anything. However mid 2008 I had a very strange letter
from the tax office saying I was being traced but wouldn't confirm who it was, but around September I had a package completely
out of the blue from Rothesay confirming my pension, amount due and options.Everything has been organised and I am now happily
receiving my pension deal. Incidental the staff at Rothesay were extremely polite and helpful and everything was very comprehensive. This
was as I say completely out of the blue, and unexpected. I don't know if that helps anyone.
Nigel Chapman-rogers ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi
Bob, I did contact Rothesay and they did get back to me quite quickly but told me that they had absolutely no record
of any pension contributions made in my name and so they could not help me !!! Hope you have better luck. Ex-
Bunny Misty ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Neil, I
received an email from Bunny Misty (O Hara) telling me she had spoken to Rothesay and they have no record of her! Surely this can't be the case? Are there others getting the same response?
If so, perhaps it would be better for all those who know they are eligible to get together a joint submission to demonstrate
a bit of clout. I've written to Rothesay and if they come back to me saying I didn't exist, I'm going after whoever
is responsible for the (a) criminal negligence or (b) fraudulent misrepresentation of the pension scheme promise. We were
all equal in our expectation of a pension. We were promised. There are very strict laws regarding pensions because of the
long time frames involved. Records must be kept. By law. Records lost or hidden is against the law. Simple as that. I suggested to Misty that she tries the Ombudsman. Anyone who qualifies (5 years minimum) and was told back in the 70s they
were receiving a pension contribution has a legal right to it. We must stick together on this. Some are succeeding. But others are not. They need to be supported all the
way. If there are more of us not being recognised
as eligible and ARE, then it's in all our interests to work together on it. Rothesay and Rank are not going to make it easy for us. Let's not make it easy for them either. If there are others who feel the same, have them let me know. Perhaps those who've succeeded could share their 'best practises'
with others to help keep Rothesay honest. Best regards, Bob
Cheers Neil, Nigel's story does sound
encouraging. I've written to Misty to tell her not to give up. But to check her dates first. She
may be just outside of the term of eligibility. If not, we'll all work together to build up a case. Once we have a clear
picture of how Rothesay are handling things. Nigel seems to suggest they will be helpful. I hope so. Bob.
Hi Neil, I got Misty to check her dates. She only did 3 years from '79
to '82. Not eligible by all accounts. Although she was told she was on a pension plan. Perhaps if she'd stay with
Trident...I don't know. Probably the Playboy Pension Scheme was closed off in '82, regardless. Nigel's feedback suggests that Rothesay are on the case. For those who are eligible, let's hope so. Bob ---------------------------------------------------------------------
